Solid Wood Dining Room
Furniture, Ontario.
The dining table is where families gather every single day. It deserves to be built from real wood — solid hardwood that gets more beautiful with age, refinishes when needed, and holds together for generations. Our Mennonite craftspeople have been building Ontario dining rooms for over 30 years.

The Construction
Built to Survive Daily Family Life
A solid wood dining table is the most punished piece of furniture in any home. It sees spilled drinks, homework sessions, holiday meals, and decades of daily use. The tables that survive all of that — and look better for it — are built with mortise-and-tenon joinery at every apron-to-leg connection, breadboard ends to control seasonal wood movement, and a hand-applied finish that can be touched up or refinished completely when needed.
Every Penwood dining table is built this way. Full-thickness hardwood. Traditional joinery. Hand-finished. The difference is obvious the moment you sit at one.
Compare any of our tables to what the big-box stores call "solid wood" — turn the table over and look at the underside. The truth about the material is always on the bottom.
