Solid Wood Bedroom
Furniture, Ontario.
A bedroom built from solid hardwood is a bedroom that gets better with time. Our Mennonite craftspeople build every bed frame, dresser, and nightstand from full-thickness Canadian maple, oak, walnut, and cherry — no particle board cores, no veneered surfaces, no shortcuts.

The Construction
Why Our Bedroom Furniture Lasts Generations
Most bedroom furniture sold in Ontario today is MDF with a wood veneer surface — thin enough to sand through with one wrong move. When that veneer bubbles or peels, the piece is done. Our furniture is the opposite: full-thickness solid hardwood from surface to core, refinishable as many times as you want.
Our Mennonite craftspeople build drawer boxes with hand-cut dovetail joints — the joinery technique that has held drawers together for centuries. The slides are solid wood on solid wood runners, not plastic glides. The bed frames use mortise-and-tenon joints at every rail connection, not screws or bolts that loosen over time.
Every finish is hand-applied in multiple coats, sanded between coats, and buffed to a depth that shows the grain — not a coating that obscures it.
