Custom Solid Wood Furniture for Mississauga Homes

Nothing is stock. You choose the wood species, dimensions, finish and hardware, and we build the piece to that spec. A dining table for a Port Credit semi and one for a larger house in Lorne Park are different builds, sized to the room.

Woods: cherry, oak, walnut and maple. Finishes: 30+ hand-applied stains. Lead time is 8 to 12 weeks from order confirmation.

We build full dining sets, bedroom furniture, home office pieces and living room storage.

What Makes It Penwood

Every Penwood piece is made to order. You choose the wood species, the stain, the dimensions and the hardware, and a Mennonite craftsperson in southern Ontario builds that exact piece by hand. Custom sizing carries no upcharge, since every order is made to spec anyway. A dining table for a condo near Square One and one for a house in Lorne Park start from the same solid Canadian hardwood and the same hand-cut joinery, each sized to its own room.

The Oakville showroom is about 20 minutes down the QEW. You can put your hand on the wood, compare finishes in natural light, and sit in the chairs before they’re built to your order.

Our 20+ master builders work in Mennonite woodworking communities across southern Ontario. Hand tools, kiln-dried hardwood, no shortcuts on joinery.

We plant two trees for every one we use. Every board that comes into the shop gets used somewhere in a build. That money goes back to rural Ontario communities.
